I bought a new server computer and had hoped I could simply relocate the hard drive from the old one to the new, but that would have been too easy! No doubt there are configuration items embedded on the hard drive from the old computer that don't work on the new one.
While booting the message, "waiting for network configuration" appeared. After awhile, it continued to boot, but not like on the old computer. I can work from the console, but no access from or to the outside world -- websites don't come up, no email.
1.) Is there a procedure I can perform to update the hard drive so it will get what it needs to run properly on the new computer?
OR
2.) If I must start over and put the OS (Ubuntu), etc. on a different hard drive is there a preferred method to transfer everything that is under Sentora over to it?
