Sentora Forum Activation Email Blocked by Hotmail
Posted by: guineapig - 08-25-2014, 02:05 AM - Forum: General Discussions (Non-Support Related) - Replies (4)

I registered using a hotmail email address. I didn't receive the activation email at first. Later when I added @sentora.io in the safe senders list then only I received activation email after requesting.

Hotmail is blocking the emails from Sentora.

Linux host server virtualization platform recommendations...
Posted by: Headpants - 08-22-2014, 09:49 PM - Forum: General Discussions (Non-Support Related) - Replies (4)

Hey guys,

I've spent the past couple of weeks getting myself familiar with Oracle's VirtualBox platform - I really needed to learn how to configure a dedicated server & to use phpVirtualBox as well, and I do like using it though I feel it's time to test out another virtualization platform.

Currently planning on testing out a new virtual platform on an Ubuntu 14.04 Host server, and I'm looking at installing KVM. What I'm wondering is if any of you other members have some input/advice about using KVM. Like, should I stick with straight up command line (CLI) or is there an open-source GUI/web-based application that you like using with KVM? Are there some things you find buggy with KVM? Will I be able to support every functionality of KVM by using open-sourced applications or will there come a point that I'll need to purchase an application just to get some things working?

Thanks in advanced guys!

ftpcms - fast and light management system
Posted by: wormsunited - 08-22-2014, 01:51 AM - Forum: General Discussions (Non-Support Related) - Replies (1)

Hello to all, I am working on a brand new cms that will allow to build fast and powerfull websites and setup-up them very easy. This system does not require any database or flat-files and its secure and hard to hack it.

Many times i see designers and users installing joomla websites and wp, i think we can have another way and spend less time working and updating and sometimes we dont need all that stuff (if you all know what i mean).

Since this system does not require any database, its faster then the normal cms, you can load a page fast and without any codes, just design as you want any html or html5 or php website and deploy it, the system will give you this options bellow, without any code by you:

Available options untill now:

1. Multi-Users management (admins only) (Add, Remove)
2. Add, Edit, Delete pages
3. Add, Remove Images
4. Manage CSS styles

Also its possible to add plugins very fast, just edit the files and that's it, using the engine (2-Edit pages).

I hope to bring it online for all of you test it soon, very soon, its wonderfull and very fast, i hope you all give me some ideias too, since we can add a lot of features on it and build it better.

Just FTP and GO cms Blush

only 10 images?
Posted by: Ron-e - 08-18-2014, 10:02 PM - Forum: General Discussions (Non-Support Related) - Replies (3)

I got this message when i tried making a topic about a theme..

Quote:The message you entered contained 16 images, while only 10 images per message are allowed. Please lower the image count in your message to meet the limit.
I like having a lot of images (16 in this case) in my posts so they get a good impression what the theme is about...
How to's are also great if they have a lot of pictures...

So please bump up the permitted image count! Big Grin

So THIS is where you all have been hiding!
Posted by: kellenw - 08-15-2014, 04:40 PM - Forum: General Discussions (Non-Support Related) - Replies (6)

Glad I found the new site! I'm getting ready to deploy a new server (Xeon E5-2420 V2 2.20 GHz, 40GB ECC RAM, dual Samsung 840 Pro 512GB SSD's in mdadm RAID1). I'll be moving all of my sites over to it once I get everything going smoothly.

I've been running Zpanel for the last couple of years, but had started looking at alternative control panels lately. The ones that have most interested me have been VestaCP (websites) and Ajenti (server admin).

VestaCP seems very stable and simple to use, but it's lacking some important features and flexibility that Zpanel/Sentora has out of the box. Honestly, I've wanted to stick with Zpanel, but it seemed "dead" for quite a while, so thought I should look elsewhere for my next panel and Vestacp was the most suitable replacement... Until I found where you guys have been hiding! Looks like Sentora will be my new panel! Smile

Ajenti is more of a Webmin replacement (though they have a beta webhost module, which I'm not a big fan of). I like Ajenti a lot for server admin, so I'll probably install that along with Sentora. I assume that won't be a problem.

I see a lot of familiar names and faces here already, a lot of whom have helped me immensely along my way with Zpanel. It's good to be among friends again. Smile

Just wanted to post really quick and say "hi" and "thanks" to all the devs for keeping this fantastic control panel alive and thriving! Smile

Hello, its flectron from the previous community but with a new name lol. So anyway what is different between Sentora and zPanel. Since I've not been active for a while. I'm using a control panel I shall not name but I do plan on changing to Sentora at some point. My vps provider gets a wee bit funny over vps reimaging Sad

Hostwinds Discussion
Posted by: smccarthy945 - 08-14-2014, 05:27 AM - Forum: General Discussions (Non-Support Related) - Replies (4)

I just picked up the phone and called Hostwinds to see what is going on and to ask if they will honor the premium support and to find out what their plans are. They inform me that they are in talks with Bobby and there will be an announcement in the next couple days to clear up the entire situation. They also tell me they are committed to the product and want to continue to develop and support it.

I did mention to them that this is not the message being told to us from the other side of the fence and tell me that they are discussing the situation with Bobby.

Either they are completely lying to me or they are speaking with Bobby now about the situation. Can anyone confirm?
