I can not connect to port 53 to query domains

I've installed Sentora on Ubuntu 14.04 and I try connect with port 53 udp from another computer(I'm consulting for domains hosted here) and connection is refused. please help

I dont have a firewall runing and service bind9(53 tcp and udp) port is alive.

Did you try to scan your server using nmap?

nmap -sU -p 53 A.B.C.D and result:
53/udp open|filtered domain

PM Me your root server access I will try to check it with server IP & domain you want to check.

I see that recursion is enabled & forwarders. I'm sure you messed up your named.conf defaults as it was setup.

The first time that I installed sentora, I did in a clean, fresh system without modifications(I dont touch nothing, only zadmin in web app), however the problem occurs.

Later....

Then I try to do some modifications in /etc/bind/named.conf ( This configurations modified are the same that my DNS server master which is in production) to fix the problem, but, no luck, the problem persist still.

However without taking attention to the problem, I need recursion and forwarders enabled. (it is for own purposes).

I see that recursion is enabled & forwarders. I'm sure you messed up your named.conf defaults as it was setup.

SOLVED, my ISP provider block DNS port on my public ip Duhhh

And he might block it back as you allow recursion & forwarding.

You don't need recursion & forwarding to run a server.

Ok good to see this issue solved & as I though it was a firewall but outside your server.
