Hosting images on subdomain

Hosting images on subdomain
Hi, I am using Opencart CMS on my domain. I want to host all the images in a subdomain to speed up the website. However, when I link the existing domain config with the subdomain, the open_basedir restriction comes into effect. Both, the domain and the subdomain, are in the public_html folder.

I basically want Opencart which is installed in my domain to be able to read/write on my subdomain.
Is there any way to bypass this restriction without compromising on security?

easy set the subdomain root under the main domain instead of separate root. So when the main domain would to access any image it would be able to do so.

Hi, Thanks for your reply.

I want the subdomain to be cookieless, so it will need a new htaccess file.

Is it possible to make a root of the subdomain inside the root of the domain?

For example- if the domain root is domain_tld, the subdomain root can domain_tld/images/

yes as I said you set subdomain root inside a sub folder of root. If you use the same root for both .htaccess in root will trigger conflicts with main domain.

When I create sub domain, in the use existing home directory option, only root and domain_tld options are there.

How to select the root directory within domain_tld at this step?
