New Fedora 24 Installation ... incomming

New Fedora 24 Installation ... incomming
Hi,

I'm using Fedora 24 as home server, Linux learning stuff and fun. Lately, I'm just looking for a free web host panel option for my mini multi-vhost management. I knew zpanel, tried to install it, but too many bugs and problems. Zpanel looked dead, even on Wiki. I was sad till I found Sentora. God Thanks!! Zpanel is alive!!

So I tried to setup them installation for Fedora with success!!  I have to try some stuffs for being sure to don’t have Bugs. I have a little one with the postfix, but I don’t see any problem at the end of the installation. Everything working well.
So after some s scripts optimizations and validations, I will be able to send my installation script on the forum for Fedora, even if it’s not officially support by Sentora. Fedora is a Red Hat (CentOS brother distribution) with the advantages of Ubuntu, so why not? Big Grin

If you are interested to have the script for test before release, just to send me a private message.

Thank you!

Fedore is based on same Redhat brach as centos so should not require a lot of changes to work, mainly in OS detection routines.

No support using PM (Auto adding to IGNORE list!), use the forum.

Yeap almost.

I add to change some stuffs about the repo, dependency and installation comportment, but it was easy. I just want to re-pass the script before release.

RE: New Fedora 24 Installation ... incomming
Here we go for the fedora install script. I suppose this script can works for Fedora 23, but I didn't test it. I've aslo put somes owncloud dependencies and I fix a bug with mysql-postfix requeirement on my first install script version.

You will have a error about a foreign key on the postfix database table, but it's look to have no impact in the end of the installation. You have the choice to setup or disable the firewalld. It's the default setup zone for FedoraServer. The default zone for CenOs is the public one.

Just to copy the script on a file with vi or an other text editor

save it

# chmod +x your_file_name
# ./your_file_name

Enjoy!
