Setting up a DKIM record - Improving my mail rating?

Setting up a DKIM record - Improving my mail rating?
I'm looking for ways to improve the rating for my mail so that my mails won't just come in to the spamboxes.

I have set up my mail with a MX record & a SPF record in my Cloudflare DNS. I get a total of 7.7/10 points on mailtester:
http://www.mail-tester.com/web-im1MQg

After reading all over the internet I understand that only the ISP of the IP can set up the rDNS records. I guess I can't do anything about that.

I've tryed to setup a DKIM record as well but I couldn't get it to work. Could anybody explain if it's something I need to install on my server in order for it to work?

I followed this tutorial: http://forums.sentora.org/showthread.php...light=dkim but it didn't work unfortunately.

Dkim will help, however the CRUCIAL thing you MUST DO is the rDNS (Reverse DNS)
Code:
-1.274    RDNS_NONE    Delivered to internal network by a host with no rDNS

Ask your host how to do that as it is NOT DONE on sentora but with the host/isp

Probably yes.
And oyu should stop sending mails without rdns or you risk getting blacklisted.

RE: Setting up a DKIM record - Improving my mail rating?
I managed to setup the reverse DNS via my hosting provider leaseweb.

Now I get 9/10 but my mails are still coming to the spamboxes. I suspect it's due to the point in mailtester saying "Your reverse DNS does not match with your sending domain."

Am I supposed to set my reverse DNS to "IP - hostname" or should I set it lik "IP - mailserver" I tryed them both but it didn't work..

Other reason might be the fact you are using a .tk domain.
Those domains are usually used by spammers and malware.

But yes, your RDNS should match your Sentora domain IP

I have changed my rDNS for my VPS to my hostname, my mailserver and even dnsi.tk but the results from mail-tester.com are always the same:

Your IP address 46.165.253.57 is associated with the domain mail.dnsi.tk.
Nevertheless your message appears to be sent from dns.dnsi.tk.
You may want to change your pointer (PTR type) DNS record and the host name of your server to the same value.
Here are the tested values for this check:
  • IP: 46.165.253.57
  • HELO: dns.dnsi.tk
  • rDNS: mail.dnsi.tk

I also tried to use another domain type but I'm guessing I need to reinstall sentora on that domain for mail services like gmail and outlook to not block my mails?

Reinstalling Sentora will have no effect.

There's a lot of spam coming from .tk domains, to make things worse your domain is new.

Try to make a new gmail account and check if it still goes to spam on that.

I created a new gmail address but unfortunately it still goes to spam.
