Sentora update Information
09-25-2023, 07:56 AM
Jettaman and myself have been extremely busy trying to get this update out. It seems like every time we are ready to release it, we find more major bugs to squash. If they were minor, we would have released v2.0.1 a while back and made incremental updates as we fixed the bugs. Thanks for being so patient as we prepare this next release. There have been so many changes and fixes, this may be a v2.1.0 version. Keep watching and sending us your feedback!
TBH, Jettaman and myself want to only release the best version we can. In doing so, every little bug we find we have to fix even if it can wait for another version. We also have some great future plans and ideas already in the works. (This also slows us down because we want to add them to the next release.)
Remember, currently it's only myself and Jettaman supporting this entire project! We need more dedicated developers, testers and support staff.
Thanks for hanging in there with us!

This is great news! I've been using Sentora to help me learn more about hosting many services of my own to keep me afloat in case a--or several--big tech data center gets hit with an EMP blast. Plus the prices of everything is going up along with mismanaged and buggy services like Sendgrid, that rolling your own and using a simple mail relay like what dnsexit.com has is all most of us small guys need.
There's nothing like being able to control your own digital destiny.

Thank you very much!
Are there specific areas where you feel additional developers or testers could make the most impact, or any particular skills you are looking for in potential team members?

For starters, knowing Sentora inside and out from a zadmin and client point of view helps with testing and finding bugs.
Having a test server or VM that you can use to install the master (development) version on and find bugs or test new features that we are working on.
The list is endless for the most part. If you know Sentora inside and out and how to solve basic issues new admins may have trouble with, you could be a Forum Support Analyst for example.
