FTP Folder Permissions

Hi

I am using Filezilla to upload. When i change folder permissions in filezilla it doesn't change. My FTP user has full rights.

Sentora panel use virtual ftp users. That means permissions are not set using FTP.

FTP permissions are totally disconnected from file permissions. That's how proftp works.

You must use SSH & change apache permission on folders

You must use SSH & change apache permission on folders

Remember though, if you change them using SSH you will not be able to manage them using FTP since the permissions will be changed from FTP user/owner to SSH user/owner.

For example, if you use SSH to upload and install a CMS or forums to a user's site, the user will not be able to use FTP to edit their site.
