530 Login incorrect

You must ensure BEFORE installation that none of the programs listed HERE are NOT installed on the server otherwise you will have errors like this. It is all explained in our installation docs.

My setup has been operational for 1.5yrs without issue.. i've been addeding and removing users without fail. this is the first time i'm actually not able to add and FTP user.

Like i said, all of my existing users from the last year work fine no problem.

Things confirm:
- Exisisting Users can connect via FTP and SFTP not problem
- When adding a user, the user is created in the sentora database without issue.
- When i connect to an exisiting user, i connect not problem.
- If i connect with a newly created user, using the username and password from the sentora database, i get the 530 error.

Could this be related to MySQL or Proftpd?

Any debug i could turn on to see?

1. Check sentora tables and proftp (use repair) to check if any damaged.

2. Could you check proftpd logs?

3. did you change any permissions in directories?

- Did the check on both tables, no errors.

- Proftp logs doesn't really show anything relevent.

- I have not update any permissions for these directories.

If you are still facing issues than prefix zadmin_ to the login.

for example ftp username xyz
than login using zadmin_xyz
