Sentora - Ideas for new update

Hello people,

I've been creating this topic because I have seen that the project has been very stationary.

I am very sad to see this project to die because Sentora is a good control panel and could evolve a lot more and stay better than some that are free as Centos Web Panel per example...

Sentora is a very well constructed panel, is worth not having most of the options that discerning users need.

I wanted enough that this project has evolved more but as a long time since the platform not receive updates.

I like Sentora, for me is the the best like cPanel.

I leave here some ideas so that developers can analyze, develop and improve if possible:

-> More Security.
-> Create SSL Login on Sentora instalation with login port.
-> Be possible to change the PHP version.
-> Limit of space per email account (Sentora default per email account 200MB).
-> Email AutoResponder.
-> File Manager.
-> Possibility configure multiple services on Sentora panel, per example: Apache, MySQL, Hostname, PHP, SSH, etc.
-> Improve password generator.
-> More DNS Functions.
-> Firewall / Anti-Virus integrated, per example: http://configserver.com/index.html
-> SSL Generator.
-> Sentora API.
-> NGinx integrated.
-> Varnish cache integrated.
-> Multi-server Support.
-> Inodes control per user.
... and more features

I would like to have the views of members on this matter I think would be very useful for the project.

Totally agree. I to wish there was more work done with the panel. But i also understand that everyone involved is doing so on there own time.

But i don't understand that the sentora team is not activily recuiting more official members to make more process. I think there are some people here that would be really good assets for the panel and the future.

Also i think its a good idea that the sentora members start publising roadmaps and stick to it. Doesn't even matter if the time between releases are great, it just gives existing users, and more important, new users something to hold on and not getting the feeling the panel is dieing.

There are people here with great talent that could be implemented in the team and would do a great job for sure.

I rather liked that administrators saw this topic to think a bit and improve this project.

Over time there will more vulnerabilities and bad intensionados will explore these vurnerabilidades to a point that no one can then use more Sentora to be unsafe and it was good that did not happen.

Agreed! The Sentora Staff needs to step up! Recruit new staff! Develop more! I love this project and I WONT let it die! Who is with me!

I have all the respect for the current staff and what they done so far. I know it takes a lot of time, time we all don't have.

I'd like to know from the staff how many active members are there now active developing sentora?
And can we start, as a comunity, recruiting some more active members? Just start small, two or three and see how things go.

I second this. Would love to see this go further, I would do my best to find staff for this project. I'd volunteer right now if I had the knowledge and skills to do this.

I'm new on Sentora, but I like it very much and I don't want to be forced to move to another panel.. I would like to see more involvement from the developers of this great project.

This is a good project and I recommend using Sentora.

Was the only panel that I put the working correctly , in other panels I tested could never get a properly functioning subdomains and emails.

It's a shame that management has not left here a word about it, I wanted nothing having to switch to another panel and have a big headache so that everything is working properly.

Sentora simply to function properly just install it and set up a few things and then everything will work properly which I find impressive and admire greatly.

No doubt that programmers did a great job with this project and can still do if they want to also think if we could all give away or to be 5$ could already be a great help and encouragement to Sentora team.

I have noticed that there have been people to leave the Sentora team and this is not good.

I created this topic on the grounds that this project would not die, its very sad also because I have come from ZPanel time.
