Is the sender and recipient on the same server?

That error means the account is not know, so it means you do not have that mailbox created.

I really need more information like:
- What server do you control Sender or Receiver? Both?
- Both using Sentora?
- Using http://verify-email.org/ does the Recipient account exist?

If you only control the Sending server, you can't do anything about it.

RE: recipient address rejected: user unknown in virtual mailbox table
I have a similar problem.

When I try to send a message to a Google APPS email, I get this error message "450 4.1.1 ........" both Outlook (with or without ssl) as the Roundcube, but when I try to send the app mymail (android) messages are sent properly. This error occurs only for a domain where the mail server is Google Apps for domains other messages are sent properly.
This problem started about a week before that worked perfectly, do not know what else to try to solve.

Sorry for the English, I'm using Google translate.

I have a similar problem to this and I have a feeling from the responses you have given you might be able to help with my issue.

I have a customer's domain set up on our server. I host his website and manage the DNS for the domain on Sentora, but his Email is through Microsoft Outlook mail servers.

Outgoing Email works fine and incoming is fine except for from my Emails from a mailbox on the same server (different domain).

If I try to send a mail from my webmail to my customer's address I receive the following error:
SMTP Error (450): Failed to add recipient "customer@customerdomain.co.uk"  (4.1.1 <customer@customerdomain.co.uk>: Recipient address rejected: User unknown in virtual mailbox table).

I have DNS set up as follows:
A Record: @ - my server IP
A Record: mail - Microsoft Outlook Mail Server IP
A Record: ns1 - my server IP
A Record: ns2 my server IP
CNAME: ftp - @
CNAME: www - @
MX: @ - Microsoft Outlook Mail Server IP
NS: @ - ns1.customerdomain.co.uk
NS: @ - ns2.customerdomain.co.uk

I'm almost certain I have something wrong here, but I'm not sure how to fix it.

The mail works to and from any mailbox that is not on my server and appears correct at http://verify-email.org/ and the DNS is flagged as correct at http://www.dnsinspect.com/

Please can you help me to fix this?
