Right, I managed to install it on a Debian server running php 8.2. It was ufw that was blocking port 80 after all. Nothing to do with Apache2 which I was working on. pulling my hair out lol
i'm running versoin 2.1.0 and everything seems good so far. I'm sure I'll come up against a simple problem and be on annoying you all again soon. Yhanks for putting up with me thus far.
