Sentora may be able to install on Debian that uses php 7.4 (Not sure what version that is at the Debian version) But our installer won't allow it since it is set to check for Ubuntu 20.04 and CentOS 8.
We are working on making Ubuntu php8 /(hopefully with Deb support)
Jettaman may be able to shed more light in this.
I do not know the differences between Ubuntu 20.04 and Debian (with php 7.4) and we do not have it as a checked OS yet in our installers.
Ubuntu and Debian are very close (Since Ubuntu was based off Debian)
So, in short, we are working to add Debian as an OS and drop CentOS (CentOS has changed way too much of their core for us to continue to make a stable cross OS version, same with Windows.)
Thanks for the reply TGates. Couldnt I install php 7.4 separately if needed? Good idea dropping support for CentOS as it's an EOL os. So there's no major problems installing it on a Debian system for a relatively experienced linux admin then. Note, I'm omly doing this on my own server. Not for a company so no need to explain it to the next admin or create documentation unless my new company explodes which I don't see happening. Thanks for the reply.
I've used Sentora for a long time and really appreciate your work.
