Upgrading ZPanel 10.1.* to Sentora - Alpha/Beta

RE: Upgrading ZPanel 10.1.* to Sentora - Alpha/Beta
Crazy question...

Can you not install Sentora on a fresh server and then following this as a guide.

Copy the /var/zpanel/* to the new server's /var/sentora/* (replacing references to Zpanel with Sentora)
Copy the /etc/zpanel/ to the new server's /etc/sentora/ (replacing referencing to Zpanel with sentora)

Copy the Database over and replace Zpanel and zpanel within the database?

Then change the services to run under their own accounts?

This doesn't sound that hard to do manually, maybe i'm over simplifying it?

Hi,

How far are we now with this script? Are the reported issues solved?

Encouter another issue regarding the SALTED hash. When use the upgrade script a new SALT is generated, therefore the password by client are no longer useable.

I think the script will be removed from the main branch and we are working on another solution.

A real upgrade script that will do only what is required to upgrade and cause less issues for current users.

So let's say work under progress.

Hello Team,
since it appears we need to wait a bit longer for the script, I have a couple if dumb questions: how difficult it is to do the migration manually? is there a (well documented) step by step procedure? Or it's just better to hire someone from the Sentora Dream Team to do it?
I am really fed up with zpanel...
Thanks!

Hi, I have a new server and wanted to help developing or testing a migrate script. Is there anything I can do to help? I already installed Sentora on the new server and was wondering if I move the folders and databases from the old server I could run a migrate script and keep resetting until everything worked ok. Can someone point me in the right direction?
