Apache prefork directives

Apache prefork directives
Hi,

Where is a good place to adjust prefork directives ?

On CentOS 6 ( Apache 2.2 ) i can do this in /etc/httpd/confhttpd.conf in prefork section, is this safe regarding the updates and possible changes in future releses of Sentora ?

On CentOS 7 ( Apache 2.4 ) there is no prefork section in /etc/httpd/confhttpd.conf, so the question is, is it safe to make changeis
to /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf as long as i don't delete last include ?

Regards,
Stefan

RE: Apache prefork directives
you can adjust depending on your webserver load. We don't tune it currently.

In CentOS 7 ( Apache 2.4 ) a did edit:
/etc/httpd/conf.modules.d/10-php.conf

with:
<IfModule prefork.c>
StartServers 20
MinSpareServers 5
MaxSpareServers 15
ServerLimit 750
MaxClients 750
MaxRequestsPerChild 2000
LoadModule php5_module modules/libphp5.so
</IfModule>

I do not know your server load or resources in order to give you a educated guess.

Please take a look at the following articles:
