What needs to be done after the CNAME

Hello, after a problem with the DNS wich didnt let me to create a new record. I reinstalled sentora and that works fine now. I can add/remore records just fine.

the website displays the Html page and the Ip lods sentora login screen.

After that I came across another problem.

I added the domain in the right place. It went Live. I added a sub domain and it went live as well. I added the record in cname but the sub domain just wont work and I get the message: "Explanation: The IP address for the website you requested could not be found. .."

what do I need to do at this point?

Well reinstalling the panel after each DNS issue isn't the best solution I ever saw!

If you have such problems with DNS why you don't use external DNS like your registrar or cloudfalre?

2. For sure you made a big mistake in CNAME as it's not resolving here.

You can check DNS resolution first with

www.intodns.com check if the domain is using the panel DNS first, if it uses your registrar or other EXTERNAL DNS, you need to add the cname there not in sentora. Only authorative DNS server need update.

I reinstalled it because i had zPanel (thats why my profile says that too btw) and then I installed Sentora.

And, even if reinstall it's never a solution, I preffer to do it either than have errors.

I'm just a curious person trying to make things work. I'm not a dev or anything close to that. I'm used to Cpanel and it's such a simple thing to use.

If I knew I would get mocked like this I wouldnt even have asked for help, even thought I thought this was a support forum.

Either way, thanks for this help. I'll see what I can find more in "google"
