SSL Ports 443 Kills Apache?

SSL Ports 443 Kills Apache?
Hi, I added SSL to the domain via virtual host configs, same as i would do in zPanel.
Thing works but as soon as i reboot server or restart Apache http dies with error binding to 443
I gigged all server around and there is nothing bound to 443 anywhere so i suspect that there is config problem in apache but i dont see anything anywhere. I do have to note then i never run Cent OS7 before and i have Webmin installed. (i do have webmin on most boxes with zpane and never seen problem like this)

Here is error
Code:
httpd[2170]: (98)Address already in use: AH00072: make_sock: could not bind...:443

Any ideas where should i look?

Error binding to port 443 ? Why Are you trying to install SSL.

How you did that? Could you post your config files & explain what you did exactly? Likely something was not correctly setup.

SSL for HTTPs connection.

What I did:

1. Login as main admin for Sentora
2. Go to Module Admin => Apache Config
3. Overide Visual Host Settings -> Select Domain
4. Configured as image attached
5. service httpd restart or reboot server, alll good but next reboot sentora and my domain are down as apache can not bind to 443, so i have manually remove virtual host associated with domain and 443port then i can login to sentora anrecreate domoan again

That's the old how to.... I don't like it neither back it.

Can you try & check this:

http://forums.sentora.org/showthread.php...82#pid4782

Require more manual work but works without any issue for me.

went through that thread, isnt the code the same that GUI generates? Also in my case i need client domain not the root, but thats not much of a difference config is still the same.

I will generate https config with GUI and will compare it to the one shown there (actual configs)

No not the same code as it's a different way of doing it.

Gui was a hack than a real solution. This is my opinion and we will try to improve it in next releases adding a new way.

RE: SSL Ports 443 Kills Apache?
lol but zPanel was working do GUI should not be a hackSmile

anyway after hitting my head against the wall i found what was not doing things right, well its exactly what it says.
If i add SSL with GUI and wait i guess fror cron to execute and populate virtual host file the site comes up online on HTTPS. If i restart server whole Apache dies saying can not bind do 433.

How beofe restart or when restart crashes, i check for anyone to listen to 433 and there is no process. So i suspect something somewhere runs LISTEN 433 more then once in httpd service boot up. Logically it tried to remove likne : Listen 443 from virtual host config and now restart of the service worked fine. Obviously i suspect if i add anorgeer domain with SSL i will need to go edit thefile before it messes things up. I also did not try restating the server.
My Linux knowledge or knowledge of zPanel is not sufficient to debug further to fix something that looks like a bug to me.

RE: SSL Ports 443 Kills Apache?
comment the "Listen Port 443" in /etc/httpd/conf.d/ssl.conf. if you're going to run ssl using Apache Admin module functionality. This will solve your issue. If you do not want to touch the SSL.CONF, might as well manually create a SSL-VHOST.CONF and include this in your Sentora HTTPS.CONF.

I will post a new guide soon, an update from my ZPanel 10.0.2 setting to new Sentora.
