I have gotten the front end sorted out with showing a user's installed certs and available domains.

Now that is sorted out the real fun begins!

ToDo:

1. check if lets encrypt is installed on the server and install it if not. (install.run)
   
2. create system cron job to auto renew all domains if any installed. (install.run)
   
3. create certificate for user domain. (controller.ext.php)
   
4. remove certificate for user domain. (controller.ext.php)
   
5. remove cron job if module removed (remove.run)
   
6. remove lets encrypt if module removed?? (remove.run)

Let me know if i can be of any assistance, i need to get lets encrypt up and running on my production boxes.

Now question, with the implementation that you are doing, if Lets Encrypt is already setup, will this be backwards compatible?

Part of the scripts is to check if existing and integrate but if you already have cron to run automatically you will need to remove it manually

To get an initial roll-out, I will probably have a notice to admin that they need to install lets encrypt manually if not installed and link to a how-to page. Unless Me.B has any suggestions on how to do command line operations (successfully) from a module. This is basically where the main issues are. Getting php to talk to system properly.

I have some idea but we need to modify the GUI.

Using CLI it's easy if you have templates.

I have converted my setup to use custom vhost entries and port forwards (all in the httpd-vhosts.conf) instead of manually editing files on the server which also makes it so you do not have to edit the .htaccess files for redirecting to SSL only.

Current testing has proven to be reliable.

This will make it much easier to add certificates if it is all controlled in the main httpd-vhosts.conf instead of creating, writing to and deleting from an external file when it can already be done through the DB using custom vhost entries.

Still working on certificate creation.
