I am not copying and pasting from windows. I am typing the lines by hand into the web browser window. I have tried using both Chrome and Internet Explorer. I get the same problem.

Now for the strange thing.

Even though the ^M Characters are in the file. Apache starts and lets encrypt is working. WTF?

I said use SSH terminal and type it there instead if using browser.

This ^M is a classic encoding issue.

The way you do it will always cause the encoding issue.
