Yep saw that and think more and using of ansible instead of chef. I like the logic behind it.

Chef may hold more features but looks more complicated, same over puppet.

Ansible is what you need. Tower GUI can be slashed (a bit costly).

There is also a good presentation on pluralsight on both.
