Hi,
I'm discovering this new licence that starts to proligerate AGPL, as I saw a lot of projects switching from GPL to AGPL to name a few:
https://github.com/RainLoop/rainloop-webmail
https://github.com/pydio/
https://github.com/itext/itextpdf
AGPL is a bit different from GPL as it's more strict in use. So adding Rainloop in sentora core is excluded.
Most of the projects adopting AGPL are pushing for commercial licencing while hiding as Open Source Free. AGPL adds a section that requires network services to change the source code if a user can interact with the program. Meaning any fix/customisation must be giving back or integration in a commercial product. Making any commercial use of the product complicated. AGPL library use will require the whole project switching to AGPL.
And most of those adopting AGPL will always offer a commercial licence right beside the Free Open Source one and require contributors in open source community to give up their copyright so they can offer the dual licence.
Tricky...
