Sentora webmail & external mail doesn't work

Hello!

I have installed the exact same Sentora version on my Leaseweb VPS as I have on my VPS from ramnode. (1.0)

The strange thing is that i get the error "can't access the storage server" when trying to login to my webmail from this VPS.

I have also tryed to use an external mail client such as thunderbird to connect to my email instead but I can't figure out how to connect.

Here are the settings I have tried:

I have installed various versions of Zpanel & Sentora but the webmail didn't work on my Leaseweb VPS for any of them. I also tryed with Centos 6 & 7.

Hello Felix, welcome to Sentora support forums.

Usually, and by default, sentora will need the following setup:
- POP3 Server: mail.domain.tld PORT: 110 SSL: None AUTH: Plain-Text
- SMTP Server: mail.domain.tld PORT: 25 SSL: None AUTH: Plain-Text
Username: yourmail@domain.tld (both for out and in servers)

mail.domain.tld must be correctly setup on the DNS server.

Also, check if ports 110 and 25 are open on your server.

Checking your Screenshots and your domain (theres no problem telling people about the domain ) you are using CloudFlare DNS.

You do NOT have a DNS entry for mail.domain.tld on CloudFlare (http://mxtoolbox.com/domain/mail.fdnsi.tk/)

Add a DNS entry for mail (either A record or CNAME, I'd add as A record) and you should be good to go.

You can't use Sentora DNS and CloudFlare at the same time, pick one (I would use CloudFlare as it is probably faster than your server)

I totally missed that first part with the dns. Sorry about that. It's been added now on CF.
However I have tried to play around with the settings but it times out when trying to send an email.


I also tryed to set the port to 25 but no difference.

True, you need MX records too

By the way Ron-e, using CloudFlare the MX should be requested at the mail. subdomain due to CF changing the IP to their servers.

I didn't have a MX record setup.
