Redirect a subdomain to a target URL

Hi!

Is there another - more easier way - to specify a target URL for a subdomain without manually creating an apache config?

We switched from Froxlor to Sentora, that's why I give an example how it works in Froxlor:
You define a subdomain. You have the option to define a root directory - or directly a target URL, like here: http://snap.ashampoo.com/Ej45WYSd (it's only a screenshoot, don't be shy to click)

We can't demand from our customers, that they create a customized apache config file (or a php file in subdomain root), only to redirect an URL to another target.

I completely agree with you that this should be a core feature.

However I also understand an agree with the dev team that there are other priorities at this moment.

Anyways developing a module for this should be easy enough... I'll think about it.

It's not so complicated to do let's see later... Been a module for this made by mod_pluz in the past, but it required patching the core. It should been checked and merged in the core.
