Hi to everyone,
normally we set up a bandwith limit for an account... but what happens if instead of banning we let the user to continue to use our service, establishing a way of counting every MB beyond the limit, letting them to use for an extra price (like DO has). Is there anyway to do it right now with some simple changes?
The normal thought about this is... when a user reaches its limit then it will ask you to upgrade its plan for a bigger bandwith plan , but the experience could be the opposite . Sometimes can be very traumatic, cause if a customer of your customer call it and says: Your website says... bla bla bla. And then it will say... what?
Nobody cares about bandwith... only when they see what happens... and it could be not necessary for every month, maybe for just one or two months. Then its normal plan is enough for it.
The better way, I think, is a different price from the normal plan for every extra MB, then it will realize that it needs to upgrade without experiencing a bad moment in front of its customers or visitors. It's just a point of view.
Somebody interested on this too?
