how can I run .conf file using cron job on zpanel

I have latest version of zpanel(10.1.1) running on my ubuntu 12.04 server.I have sphinxsearch installed which got configuration file (.conf) that needs to be run automatically on a certain period to update index for database.But unfortunately,zpanel cron manager only support php script.

I tried to include 'sphinx.conf' file on a php file and run it using cron manager.But it didn't work.

So,how can I run 'sphinx.conf' from cron manager on zpanel.

make a copy of sphinx.conf and rename it to sphinx.php?
So, you should have both sphinx.conf and sphinx.php on your site.

I see the conf file must be run by the binary sphinx search !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cron will never support that. You need to set a manual cron under ubuntu.
