Yes,still in alpha stages unfortunately and the dev has been slow again. He does good for a few weeks, then nothing. Bobby did a great job planning the core for future php updates. We have had some members attempt php7 updates and sentora does run on it.but the question is suhosin. If you are the only customer/user then it may be a bit safer vs hosting tp unknown parties. If you are the only user, then you don't have to worry about your customers uploading and running dangerous scripts that can compromise your server. Yet hackers may still be able to find an exploit and gain access because of whatever site scripts you are using.

In short, if you write your own sites from scratch and not use wp or joomla for example and are proficient in site security, you may be somewhat 'ok' without suhosin but there's no guarantee.

I am actively looking into a Suhosin replacement for my upgraded Sentora servers running PHP 7.2. I am just testing right now but once I find a solution I will be happy to share this with others.

I agree there doesn't appear to be much in the way of progress being made with Sentora, but this does not make it a dead project... not for me, anyway.

It's worth keeping in mind that, while security support etc. is due to end from PHP soon, PHP 5 will still continue working. PHP 7.2 is much faster and I can't see PHP 5 lasting forever as, gradually, developers are rewriting and upgrading there scripts to work on PHP 7.2, but PHP 5 isn't going to stop working overnight.

The main problem is Suhosin. It looks like Suhosin isn't going to come through (my opinion only). Right now you can run a Sentora server on PHP 7.2 but Suhosin gets tossed aside, making the server vulnerable to security breaches etc. We just need to find a replacement...

Note: I am not a member of the Sentora Team, just someone who uses Sentora and is enthusiastic about keeping it alive. When I say "we", I mean the community, not the development team.

Hi there, I'm running latest version of Sentora (1.0.3). I've been waiting to hear positive news on some development of Sentora to support PHP 5.6 and 7, but it doesnt look likely. And unfortunately, now I'm unable to run certain things on my wordpress site, and other sites. So I need to make a move to something now.

Can you please share how you went about upgrading your site to PHP 7.2 and disabling Sushosin?

Also, for anyone else, did you decide to fully move off of Sentora to get PHP 5.6 or 7.2? What platform did you move to? I don't want to go back to managing a straight LAMP stack, I want the ease of management of a web control panel. Can anyone recommend something easier to transition to? Sad day, I've used Sentora for many years now and haven't had a single issue with it.

Sentora does work with suhosin on php 5.6.40 (I just did a couple weeks ago) There are a couple tutorials in the forums.
php 7's beta suhosin seems to be way too buggy for use. We are currently looking into php-fpm and Snuffleupagus (a suhosin replacement) but due to our minimal extra time it has been tough to work on Sad

RE: PHP 7 WARNING and DISCLAIMER
That would be helpful! I would think it would not be all that difficult to switch from suhosin to Snuffleupagus.
Update the installer to install Snuffleupagus and change the DB table with the suhosin data to Snufflupagus data.
Sounds easy, but is it really that simple?
