Norton Deletion

Norton Deletion
Hi.

For some reason, Norton deletes pathman.exe and setroute.exe because it considers them as virus software, therefore, I can't bring domains live whenever they're deleted. It also causes problems, because it takes days to go by after putting the files back before my domains can become live again.

Also, I've tried running the installer files before on a system with antivirus software that was different from Norton, but couldn't install Sentora because pathman.exe was considered a virus software and therefore deleted.

On my current server, I've had to install Sentora before installing any antivirus software in order to keep from having installation problems.

Oh. Here is the screenshot of one deletion:

RE: Norton Deletion
Confused
On a server I wouldn't expect Norton... that is for desktop protection and uses way too many resources for a web server. ClamWin/ClamAV are suggested for a server.

You should never install anti virus before your server and services, this can cause many issues installing files and programs required and if it is, you must disable it until the install is completed.

On another note, you should add those programs to your A/V's whitelist (or ignore list).
