Port for Sentora

Port for Sentora
Hello,

Does anyone know how I can set Sentora ONLY on a different port.
Like DirectAdmin runs on 2222 and the regular websites on 80/443.

Kind Regards,

Rick

RE: Port for Sentora
Hi Rick,
Considering you are using Ubuntu 12, this guide about Initial Server Setup might help you.

Quoting:
Quote:Step Five — Configure SSH

Now that we have our new account, we can secure our server a little bit by modifying its SSH configuration (the program that allows us to log in remotely).
Begin by opening the configuration file with your text editor as root:
Code:
nano /etc/ssh/sshd_config

Change SSH Port (Optional)
The first option that you may want to change is the port that SSH runs on. Find the line that looks like this:
Code:
Port 22

If we change this number to something in between 1025 and 65536, the SSH service on our server will look for connections on a different port. This is sometimes helpful because unauthorized users sometimes try to break into servers by attacking SSH. If you change the location, they will need to complete the extra step of sniffing it out.

Hope this helps Smile

RE: Port for Sentora
No. I don't want to change the SSH port.

I want Sentora to run on *:8080.
And run the regular sites on *:80 and *:443

RE: Port for Sentora
That could be easily done in sentora config module

change Sentora Apache Port to 8080.

websites will remain on port 80 while sentora will be on the new port. Easy to do and works (I'm doing that my self).

You might need to force apache config update ( you can do that thru

sentora config > apache admin > Apache Config

Check Force Update
