Roundcube setup imap/pop error
For some reason I cant connect to smtp from pop or imap is there something I'm missing?

Fresh install of Sentora 1.0 on ubuntu 14.04. D.O
I setup a new email address mrt@mydomain.co.uk

The pop/imap settings that I tried was
mail.mydomain.co.uk port 110
smtp.mydomian.co.uk port 25
authentication unchecked

Any help would be appreciated

Did you create all the DNS records?

Is port 25 open not firewalled? What if you try connecting using the ip directly.

I haven't created any DNS records, what records need creating?
Yes port 25 is open.

well DNS need to be valid for

mail.mydomain.co.uk
smtp.mydomian.co.uk

so you can resolve them and connect to mail server no?

I can see that tere is already a mail.mydomain.com created for me in Sentora DNS MX records do I also add smtp.mydomain.com to the mx records?

Those should have an A record that resolve to an IP Nothing to do with MX.

I just added mail and smtp A records to the DNS and everything started working.
