Email accounts suddenly not sending emails after upgrade to Sentora 2.x.x

I’m pretty new to managing a server with Sentora, so please excuse me if this is something simple that I missed.
I recently upgraded my panel to version 2.x.x and everything seemed to go smoothly at first. The control panel loads fine, domains are still listed, and my email accounts are all still there. However, since the upgrade, I’ve noticed that none of my email accounts can send outgoing emails anymore.
Incoming emails still arrive without any problem, but when I try to send a message from webmail or an email client (like Thunderbird), it either times out or shows an SMTP error.
Here are a few things I already checked:

Restarted the server and mail services
Verified that ports 25 and 587 are open
Checked that the email accounts are still active in the panel

I’m wondering if something changed in the mail configuration after the upgrade that I might need to update manually.
Has anyone else experienced this after updating to Sentora 2.x.x? Any suggestions on what logs or settings I should check first?

Control Panel not loading

Hello,

1. I have installed Sentora in ubuntu 20 oracle cloud AMD server (Also tried with ARM server).
2. Installed in root user (using sudo -i)
3. Enabled All Port and All IP in Oracle network security
4. Installation successful and got login info
5. sudo systemct1 status apache2 - I checked and Active and running
6. Subdomain and main domain DNS is correctly pointed

When i tried to open SentoraPanel.example.com. i am getting an error "The connection has timed out- The server at sentorapanel.example.com is taking too long to respond" or "503 Service Unavailable"

Troubleshoot i did :

1. Restarted Apache - sudo systemctl restart apache2
2. Reboot the whole server

and still did not fixed. What to do? how to fix?

Hello,
I've been using Sentora without any issues, but I've recently encountered a problem I can't seem to fix. After rebooting my server, the Sentora control panel stopped loading. When I try to access the panel URL, I receive a "500 Internal Server Error." The hosted websites are functioning normally, but I can't access the panel to manage accounts or domains.

It appears that Sentora might still be relying on outdated MySQL functions that my current PHP version doesn't support. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a known solution, or will I need to downgrade PHP for compatibility with Sentora?

Environment:

OS: CentOS 7 (fully updated)

Sentora version: 1.0.3

Apache 2.4, PHP 7.4, MySQL 5.7

Should I upgrade to v2.x.x immediately if my forum is stable on the current version?

Hi everyone,
I’m currently running my forum on version 1.x.x and everything is working quite smoothly. I noticed that v2.x.x has been released for a while now, bringing new features and important security fixes.
I’m still unsure whether I should upgrade immediately or wait a bit longer until things become more stable. My biggest concern is potential compatibility issues with certain plugins/extensions after the upgrade.
For those who have already upgraded from 1.x.x to 2.x.x, could you share your experience?
- Was the upgrade process smooth?
- Did you encounter any major issues with data or plugins?
- If I don’t urgently need the new features, is it better to wait for a few minor patches before upgrading?

Missing mysqld.sock

I was working on a site yesterday and suddenly I was not able to bring anything up. The command to open the database returned this error message:
Connection failed: No such file or directory

service mysql status gives me this line:
Active: activating (start) since Thu 2025-06-26 15:57:15 EDT; 271ms ago
Not indicating Mysql is running

service mysql start and service mysql restart don't work.

mysql command returns this error message:
ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock'

ls -l /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock tells me this:
ls: cannot access '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock': No such file or directory

Evidently /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock has suddenly disappeared, and I can't find it anywhere on the server!

find / -name mysqld.sock
find: â/proc/385863â: No such file or directory
find: â/proc/385869â: No such file or directory
find: â/proc/385870â: No such file or directory

I run another Sentora server that has the file but it won't let me copy it to my computer in order to transfer to the dead server.
srwxrwxrwx 1 mysql mysql 0 May 6 06:48 mysqld.sock

What a mess!! Any ideas on how to get it back?

Error opening Roundcube

The website will not allow Firefox to display the page if another site has embedded it...

I don t know hat is bad. Please your help....

sentora 2.0 wont load after install

I've used the official github sentora 2.0 bash script to install sentora from github. I've run it as root from the server but when I go to my control panel it wont load. I thought it might be an Apache issue but I've checked and apache is running with no errors. Still the panel wont load. Is there any issues I might be missing? Any help would be appreciated.

Dovecot error

It appears I have somehow blown out the Dovecot function. Logging into an email account produces this error message: Connection to storage server failed.

Also, if I restart Dovecot with service dovecot restart, these messages eventually appear:

Apache giving error in

Apache wont start because there is an error in /etc/sentora/configs/apache/httpd-vhosts.conf but this file is generated by Sentora. How to I regenerate the file if I cant start apache? Any ideas?

Sorry the error is in the php_admin_value variable in this file /etc/sentora/configs/apache/httpd-vhosts.conf
Here are the relevant lines in the conf file:

Hello all, ive been working with this panel for the last 5 years now. great panel! iam trying to import a large database and get a timeout error in sentora error log about max time 300 seconds. ive tried changing this in numberous php.ini files but still have the timeout. where is this setting located . iam on ubuntu 20.04 . thanks!

There seems to be an issue with apache2 on the sentora install script. Its pointing to the wrong conf file in apache2.conf But when I try to Include the rih]ght .conf file here /etc/sentora/configs/apache/httpd.conf apache crashes. If I purge apache and reinstall I get the apache2 It works page. But how do I point it to the correct sentora page without apache exiting? I see the correct information is in /etc/sentora/configs/apache/httpd-vhosts.conf
