We have been working on Sentora and it is coming along very well! The next release we may designate as Sentora 3.0 since there have been so many updates, fixes and changes added!

Some people have gotten Sentora to run on PHP 8 but haven't shared their work with us or they haven't got it working 100% (Broken modules, coding way outside our core structure, etc.)

I am looking to deploy wordpress to a hosting package within Sentora and I have not used it for a while.

I appear to still have access to Sentastico, and when I go there and Admin, and try to select Wordpress I get this error :

If problem persists, contact your server administrator.


Selecting other packages such as joomla, mybb etc also give the same error.

Is there any update / configuration change I need to do to be able to do this or can I install wordpress an alternative way ?

service mysql start and service mysql restart don't work.

mysql command returns this error message:
ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock'

ls -l /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock tells me this:
ls: cannot access '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock': No such file or directory

Evidently /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock has suddenly disappeared, and I can't find it anywhere on the server!

find / -name mysqld.sock
find: â/proc/385863â: No such file or directory
find: â/proc/385869â: No such file or directory
find: â/proc/385870â: No such file or directory

I run another Sentora server that has the file but it won't let me copy it to my computer in order to transfer to the dead server.
