RE: Windows Live Mail Setup
No problem with config files & this is not a guess game.

Use only port 25 & setup authentification for SMTP when sending without SSL/TLS.

RE: Windows Live Mail Setup
Do you have:
Code:
smtp      inet  n       -       n       -       -       smtpd
in /etc/postfix/master.cf?

Check
Code:
netstat -plnt |grep :25

RE: Windows Live Mail Setup
Mx toolbox got authentification ok while you were unable to do it.

Check your settings! instead of trying to point the server config.

anyway, still i have this problem and i'm not professional with VPS settings, otherwise i would't open this topic and asking this kind of questions.

RE: Windows Live Mail Setup
In you first post you showed you used SMTP without authentication.

You keep blaming the configuration of the mail server instead of focusing on the client side.

If you ask for help, so try to do what we try to tell you instead of keeping pointing the direction you WANT.

Can you also try using thunderbird?

In order to send emails you need to setup SMTP server with authenfication on port 25 without SSL/TLS.
