Sentora for single website

Sentora for single website
I successfully installed Sentora on my cloud server. I do not intend to use it as a multi-website or hosting service. It's mainly to facilitate the management of my own site. You've probably noticed by now that I'm new to server/system admin   Big Grin

Two questions:

1-Is it better to set up Sentora on my main domain (mybusiness.com) or should it be on another domain (ex: mypersonnalwebhosting.com) and set my main domain as a client of my hosting service? Right now, I've set it on my main domain (sentora.mybusiness.com and mybusiness.com)

2-Is it normal to get an permission denied message in ftp client (logged in with SSH and private key) when trying to view the /var/sentora/hostdata/ folder? And how can I access this folder?

Once again sorry if this is irrelevant, I'm on a steep learning curve.

RE: Sentora for single website
If you are not going to have any other accounts you can keep it as 1 domain. but create a subdomain for your login.

ftp - are you logged in as root.

RE: Sentora for single website
you can use panel.domain.com for panel login (as stated in our docs)  and use that same domain as you main site.

About the permission denied.

For uploading files to your site, you should create an FTP account inside Sentora for that domain an use that. (Permissions will be properly set.) If you use SSH, you need to be root user and have to change the file and folder permissions of the files you upload to owner and group apache.
