Backupfolder + Path Changing
Hello Community. I am a new sentora user and think it is a great free solution for server.
Now i can use server and set my own root very easy. Thats great, thanks for that.  (!!!)

Now a few issues i have ...

If i setup the Backup option in zAdmin, what i have to do, that the action of the backup not saved into the maintree above USERROOT/BACKUPS && public_html/userroot?

The 1.st problem is, that only the root can DL the Backups from the user.

Also i want ask to what i have to do, that the serverpath for user/theirfunctions/addons/etc. isnt /var/sentora/public_html ...

rather:  var/myCompany/public_html ?

The 2.nd problem is, that i get problems with pathes from mods, which i havent before:
/var/sentora/hostdata/iUser/public_html/iTLD_com/iMod/xxx.php

Error - display:  CHECK YOUR PATH! ?
But, its the right path...

Thanks for solutions.
Greetings

Wrong section.

1. If you setup ftp access to /USERROOT/, any user will be able to access his files not only root!

2. Don't get the addons story here? As ftp allow access to all user account files.

3. Question over path not clear? Path seems ok.

Hi. And what is, when i want to start a hosting company?

What can i do, that every user can DL his backups in his own WebDirectory?

The second - How to change the /var path/ ? (/var/sentora/hostdata) to /var/iCompany/hostdata?

Every user have access to it's own directory too... Not an issue here.

To change the path you will need to change a lot of vars/ Scripts.

You can setup a symbolic link.

Hi. Yes. To his own dir. But the user CANT DL, because - its an level to high
The original in zadmin created user, cant DL his own Backups.
Only the ROOT can do this. This is what i mean.

The 2nd. I like Sentora. Its great. But i want to change the name of the directory.
What i have to do when want do this?

I think not everyone have to knowing, which bicycle i ride.

RE: Backupfolder + Path Changing
Where you want company name in the path, is this your company name or client company name?

If your own company, this is an easy change.
As zadmin user, go to Admin > Module Admin > Apache Config > Vhosts Directory > /var/[companyname]/hostdata/

Save and wait for the daemon to run.

The folder should be created and you will then need to move all of the /var/sentora/hostdata/* content into this new folder
-OR-
Delete the newly created folder and rename /var/sentora/ to /var/[companyname]/

If you have any issues with it, just revert your changes Wink
