It Did not worked for me, but I resolved the problem. Your configurations gave me the confidence that I am looking in right https config file.

I simply removed SSL related key information I did in step two as mentioned in my first message.

Restarted apache2 ( sudo service apache2 restart) and voila, my panel was back on port 80. I followed rest of the tutorial in order and now SSL is up and running.
