Thanks.

Are you asking how you can give your control panel a URL link, such as https://controlpanel.superhosting.com, instead of using an IP address like this: http://12.34.56.78?

If so, you were probably asked for this information when you first set up Sentora as it is part of the installation scripts. Do you recall entering a domain name then, and if so, what it was?

There is nothing stopping you from configuring a domain after Sentora has been installed, but knowing what you specified during the installation is a good starting point.

Otherwise, to set up a domain name now you would need to purchase a domain name from a domain registrar, for example godaddy.com. I am not recommending them, simply quoting them as an example. Once you have the domain name, there will be somewhere within the control panel of the domain registrar where you can configure the DNS settings. You would need to point an A record to your server's IP address. You may well be asked during the purchase if you want to point the domain name to an IP address, or forward it, or whatever, but you need to end up with an A record pointing to your IP address.

Once this has been set up and propagated (may take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours), you should be able to visit your domain name and it will take you to the server. As long as you do not have a vhost account on your server for that domain name already (so in other words, if you bought the domain controlpanel.superhosting.com, none of your clients on your server should be using that domain name within Sentora) this should then work as Sentora should answer to any domain names that point to its IP... I say it should, but if you find it doesn't then it will just need configuring a bit more, so try it and report back.

I should also add that, by default, your domain will probably be an http domain, not a https. Turning it into https is another few steps, but they are for tackling once you have the first procedure above all working Smile

If you get stuck, just ask but give as much info about what you've tried.
